Jolie & Kieran’s Magical Hidden Tipi wedding!

Hollin House Wedding

Tipis, rainbow tassels, haybales to lounge on, fish and chips… there were so many things to love about Jolie and Kieran’s festival tipi wedding in a field ❤️ The guests were equally colourful (in fashion, good humoured personalities…and language when the occasion called for it ?) & we felt immediately welcomed by everyone.

As usual, Andy and I joined the groom’s party and bride tribe in the morning to document the getting ready vibes. I was especially happy as it turns out that Mason (the couple’s adorable 16 month old son) and I have something very important in common…Moana!! (“Strutt my stuff, my stuff is so SHINY!” If this means nothing to you, it’s time to get the Disney film in your life, it will become the soundtrack to your life. Fact.)

Jolie and her lovely ladies were super chilled in the morning, getting their hair and makeup done by Carrie and Steph, playing with Mason and drinking bucks fizz in their personalised robes.

At the boys’ house, the beers and banter were flowing early. From beers and vaping in the garden through to a copious amount of hairspray going on (seriously, Kieran!) it was a fun-filled morning. Kieran and Jolie’s dog, Sky, came for a run around with Tyson and had an equally fun time! Andy even managed to get a cheeky ride to the venue in the wedding Bentley – which was awesome!

Jolie had chosen a stunning Ronald Joyce dress with buttons all the way to the floor and pockets (whoever thought to put pockets in a wedding dress is a genius in my mind). I think it’s fair to say that Kieran was pretty lovestruck when Jolie walked down the aisle with her dad ?

After a sweet ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Whitegate, we made our way down the steps, round the corner and into the primary school fields where three fairylight lit, be-tasselled tipis welcomed guests. Andy and I were particularly excited to be photographing a tipi wedding as we had tipis too! It bought back some brilliant memories.

When it was time to get some family pics, it was nan’s job to retrieve Mason from where he was playing. So off she popped and whisked up…Bobby!! Much to everyone’s amusement, including nan’s ?

The laughs continued throughout the evening, with a photo booth camper van providing some flamboyant accessories, the school’s outdoor play equipment testing the guest’s balance, and the bride and groom helping things along by encouraging guests to have the wedding favour shots, nice touch.

Food was provided by a fish and chip van (curry sauce and mushy peas anyone?) then later a hog roast. Inside the tipis, the couple had everyone doing a double take at their elegant wedding cake. The first tier was a work of art that looked like a tree stump!

We had such a gorgeous day capturing Jolie and Kieran’s fun-filled tipi wedding, thank you so much for having us!

Congratulations!
