English Garden Wedding – Yes!

Saturday 19th May 2018 was the big day…the day when Jack’s mummy and daddy got married! Emma and Chris were a brilliant couple to spend the day with. They looked so classy and ridiculously in love, and their 7-month-old boy, Jack was a delight the whole day!

They chose Abbeywood Estate and gardens to tie the knot and wow, what a venue. It provided the backdrop to a perfect English garden wedding, with a funky band in gazebo, canapes on the lawn and plenty of fizz being poured while the guests mingled around the pools and formal gardens.

But before all that was the ceremony in the glasshouse. Ok, deep breath. This is an emotional one.

Let’s just say it was a good job Andy was at the front capturing the moment Chris saw his beautiful bride Emma for the first time. I was close to blubbing when editing, I would have been in PIECES if I had witnessed first hand the tears and love as she walked down the aisle!

Later it was the best man, Matt who pulled on everyone’s heartstrings. He’d rewritten the words to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” to tell Emma and Chris’ love story, then arranged for a band to record it. During his speech, the lyrics were handed out for the guests to sing it to the newlyweds. Cue more tears!

It was a warm and hazy evening at Abbeywood, with bits of cotton floating dreamily in the air. We thought we’d take Jack to see the Estate’s hand-reared lamb, Barbara (get it? Barbara…Baa baa ra!) who had been catching everyone’s attention with her frolicking. Emma, being a vet, was also in her element with this little sweetheart.

Then when night set, the guests were unleashed onto the dance floor. We’ll let the pictures do the talking for this bit!
