This long beautiful summer will stand out in our memories for many reasons. Being entertained by a walking, talking toddler, the eternal sunshine (reference to one of my favourite films there ?), weekends spent lounging around with friends and family…

The first weekend in July was particularly special for Andy and me as we celebrated my mum’s 70th birthday. It’s always so much fun when our daughter Clove spends time with her cousins. So imagine her delight when she had 7 of them to tear around with on a sit-on lawn mower on their grandparents’ paddock, under the warm sun and blue skies…

…also, imagine the grown-ups delight when the older ones took turns entertaining the babies leaving us free to drink copious amounts of Pimm’s and beer!!

But it wasn’t all drinking and playing, there was eating, toasting, singing, dancing and celebrating my wonderful mum ?
